Just in case some of you had concern about the amount of calories in the Slowcarbified Ants on a Log recipe fear not. A new study at the U.S. Department of Agriculture shows that caloric absorbtion when eating almonds is about 20 percent lower than originally thought. Hopefully this would translate to cashews as well but if not almond butter is another solid option for that recipe. Of course with the Slow Carb Diet counting calories is not all that important but even Tim suggests keeping an eye on the amount of almond butter that you eat because it is so calorically dense. At least now you can enjoy 20 percent more guilt free. Hooray Science!
